(AMS), an establishedsupplier of magneto-resistive (MR) tape heads and Micro-Electro-MechanicalSystems (MEMS) related products, announced today that it has successfullycompleted qualification and is providing, with Lafe Technology Ltd., the MRtape heads for Quantum Corporation's SDLT 600 tape drives. AMS, a developer andmanufacturer of advanced thin-film components and its strategic partner, LafeTechnology Ltd., who provides post wafer processing, assembly, and packaging,are collaborating to produce MR tape heads for data storage applications.
