Advanced MicroSensors Providing Volume Shipments of Recording Heads for Tandberg Storage's TS400 Tape Drive

SHREWSBURY, MA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 10/05/2005 -- Advanced MicroSensors, Inc. (AMS) the world leader in magneto-resistive (MR) tape heads today announced that it is supplying MR recording head components for Tandberg Storage's Half Height LTO2 tape drive TS400. This drive is also sold through Tandberg Data under the model name Tandberg 420LTO.

AMS, a developer and producer of advanced thin-film micro-components and its strategic partner, Lafé Technology Ltd., who provides post wafer processing, assembly and packaging, are collaborating to produce MR tape heads to support Tandberg Storage's tape drive business.
