Advanced MicroSensors is located at 333 South Street in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, just off route 9 east. We are co-located with Maxtor Corporation. Our facility is minutes from Worcester, and approximately one hour from major airports at Boston, Hartford, and Providence.

Advanced MicroSensors has the following positions available:


CMP Process Engineer

Individual will be responsible for Chemical Mechanical Polishing and Electroplating operations for Tape Head and MEMS technologies. Candidate will be sustaining existing processes already in manufacturing, while developing new technologies. Individual must be able to juggle both demands on their time

Requirements:

  • 3+ years hands-on experience in CMP and have a thorough understanding of the theory behind chemical polishing reactions.
  • BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials or other pertinent technology.
  • A background in HDD, Tape Head, MEMS or Semiconductor-like processing.
  • The ability to manage the development of new processes while sustaining more mature/current processes.
  •  Candidates must have the experience and a developed skill set in statistical process control methods (SPC), DOE and statistical data analysis techniques in order to conduct process characterization and qualification activities.
  • Experience with process sustaining activities and must be familiar with continuous improvement techniques such that process/equipment problems are eliminated over time.
  • Candidates must be able to do a lot with little resources- creative and diversity is essential.
  • Be a team player (work within engineering group to collaborate on problem solving approaches and new process development).

  • Must possess experience and a strong skill set in regards to analytical and problem solving techniques.

  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Proven ability to bring solid, analytical, data driven approach to developing new processes.
  • Proven background in contributing to the growth corporate Intellectual Property portfolio.

 


Senior Level Marketing, Sales and Business Development Executive

Executive with 15+ years of successful applications, sales, business development and marketing experience who is seeking a new and challenging opportunity in the area of MEMS and sensor technologies.  This executive should have a combination of business expertise along with a solid technical background including an electrical engineering degree as well as design and research experience.

 

   
•     15+ years of applications, sales and marketing experience  
•     5+ years of sales and marketing in the MEMS industry  
•     5+ years of sales, engineering and application product management  
•     Established network of contacts in the MEMS, sensors, optics and semiconductor industries  
•     Deal structuring, negotiating and closing expertise for components  
•     Based on the East Coast, United States  

 


2nd Shift Vacuum Process Technician    
Job Responsibilities  
Process wafers per documented specifications and travelers  
Assist other technicians, engineers and program managers with new product development  
React to Statistical Process Control   
Perform routine equipment checks to verify proper operation  
Attend daily production meeting and react to product priority setting  
Support all ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 initiatives  
Comply with all company Safety rules   
Shift hours are Monday through Friday, 3pm to 11:30pm  
Experience  
Applicant should have a minimum of 2 years in similar wafer operation (semiconductor, thin film, MEMs)
Specific equipment helpful; Nordiko, Veeco, MRC, Comptech, CHA  

 


1st Shift Vacuum Equipment Technician  
Job Responsibilities  
Provide emergency repair support on all vacuum equipment  
Perform preventive maintenance per a documented schedule  
Assist with equipment moves and installations  
Maintain assigned equipment spare parts inventory  
Perform equipment modifications to improve yield, reduce cost or support development  
Support all ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 initiatives  
Comply with all company Safety rules   
Shift hours are Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm  
Experience  
Applicant should have a minimum of 2 years in similar wafer operation (semiconductor, thin film, MEMs)
Specific equipment helpful; Nordiko, Veeco, MRC, Comptech, CHA  
Basic vacuum and RF power skills required
