Advanced MicroSensors has the following positions available:
CMP Process Engineer
Individual will be
responsible for Chemical Mechanical Polishing and Electroplating operations
for Tape Head and MEMS technologies. Candidate will be sustaining existing
processes already in manufacturing, while developing new technologies.
Individual must be able to juggle both demands on their time
Requirements:
- 3+ years
hands-on experience in CMP and have a thorough understanding of the
theory behind chemical polishing reactions.
- BS in
Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials or other pertinent
technology.
- A background in
HDD, Tape Head, MEMS or Semiconductor-like processing.
- The ability
to manage the development of new processes while sustaining more
mature/current processes.

Candidates
must have the experience and a developed skill set in statistical
process control methods (SPC), DOE and statistical data analysis
techniques in order to conduct process characterization and
qualification activities.
- Experience
with process sustaining activities and must be familiar with
continuous improvement techniques such that process/equipment
problems are eliminated over time.
- Candidates
must be able to do a lot with little resources- creative and
diversity is essential.

Be a team player
(work within engineering group to collaborate on problem solving
approaches and new process development).

Must possess
experience and a strong skill set in regards to analytical and
problem solving techniques.
- Strong
verbal and written skills.
- Proven ability
to bring solid, analytical, data driven approach to developing new
processes.
- Proven
background in contributing to the growth corporate Intellectual
Property portfolio.
